Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of graduated from an approved or recognized school of nursing program
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to constantly move or lift up to 10 lbs., regularly move or lift up to 25 lbs., and occasionally restrain, reposition, move, or lift up to 30 lbs. They should also be able to push or pull with medium force
  • The candidates should be able to constantly stand, walk, and work in awkward or cramped positions to assist with procedures
  • The candidates should be able to constantly use fine finger or precision, auditory, sensory, and visual concentration to provide and conduct risk assessments, observe or monitor patients, complete documents, follow directions and administer medications
  • The candidates should be able to handle time pressures or deadlines and manage situations where they have limited control over work pace

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should hold current and continuing practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL) and a satisfactory record of work performance

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to coordinate and participate in the delivery of holistic and supportive care to patients, clients, or residents by assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care
  • The candidates should be able to provide health promotion, curative, supportive, rehabilitative, and palliative services as part of patient care
  • The candidates should be able to provide professional supervision, direction, or mentoring to the nursing care team while supporting other members of the interprofessional team to achieve safe and effective patient care
  • The candidates should be able to ensure that documentation and nursing policies and practices are followed consistently
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with families to ensure the highest standard of care is provided
