Salary: $27.00 to $35.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week

Location: Manotick, ON
Shifts: Day, Overtime, Flexible Hours
Work setting: Construction, various locations, renovation, willing to relocate, maintenance and repair, commercial, industrial, institutional, millwork/pre-fab shop work, and residential
Supervision: 1 to 4 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years
Area of work experience: Framing and shingling
Surface preparation experience: Drywall taping/patching
Area of specialization: Painting
Installation specialization: Ceramic tiles
Equipment and machinery experience: Saws, Power tools, and Hand tools
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working at heights, adhering to safety protocols and precautions
- The candidates should be able to work in confined spaces, demonstrating awareness and adherence to safety regulations
- The candidates should be able to work in noisy environments, maintaining focus and efficiency despite external distractions
- The candidates should be tolerant of dusty environments, taking necessary precautions for safety
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, adapting to various weather conditions
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as necessary for certain tasks.
- The candidates should be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking as part of the work routine
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads, demonstrating physical strength and proper lifting techniques
- The candidates should be physically fit to meet the demands of a physically demanding role

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- The candidates should be able to prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
- The candidates should be able to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, and schedule and coordinate work on sites
- The candidates should be able to instruct apprentices, supervise other workers, and prepare and install hardwood floors
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, work with minimal supervision, and cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
- The candidates should be able to install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
