Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Food Safety Certificate, Safe Food Handling certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate reliability, show initiative, and exhibit dependability

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, keep records of the quantities of food used, and portion and wrap foods
  • The candidates should be able to stock refrigerators and salad bars, use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, and clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • The candidates should be able to handle and store cleaning products, remove kitchen garbage and trash, sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
