Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Ph.D or a MD degree
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years prior experience in research
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have demonstrated ability to cultivate internal and external relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues, decision makers and the scientific community
- The candidates should be able to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- The candidates should have the capacity to work with individuals of diverse ethno-racial and cultural backgrounds
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have relevant experience as a postdoctoral fellow and appointment as an Assistant Professor level or higher
- The candidates should be registered with the appropriate Ontario College nursing, social work, psychology and psychiatry or be eligible for registration
- The candidates should possess sound judgment, excellent organizational, communication (verbal and written), and strong analytical skills
- The candidates should have Bilingualism (English and French) and proficiency in a second language
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to establish and manage a robust research program and team
- The candidates should be able to generate and explore innovative research ideas and contribute to the education of emerging scientists
- The candidates should be able to actively promote knowledge exchange within the field of adult neurodevelopmental disabilities
- The candidates should be able to provide expert guidance in research, offering training, supervision, and mentorship across diverse disciplines
- The candidates should be able to lead impactful research aimed at enhancing care for adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities and practically supervise undergraduate, graduate, post-doctoral trainees, and technical staff
- The candidates should be able to integrate clinical research with clinical services at CAMH and participate in service planning and leadership activities
- The candidates should be able to adhere to approved CAMH practices, procedures, and safety standards
- The candidates should be able to collaborate within a multidisciplinary environment encompassing both fundamental and clinical research
- The candidates should be able to establish collaborations at local, national, and international levels and participate in leadership advisory groups, both within CAMH and externally
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate active leadership in research activities, maintain a prolific publication record, and secure extramural funding and disseminate research results through presentations at academic meetings, conferences, and communication with key decision-makers
