Salary: $18.00 to $23.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 84 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Permanent employment – Full time
Location: Thunder Bay, ON
Shifts: Day, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, On Call, Flexible Hours
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, Willing to travel regularly
Work setting: Remote location, Staff accommodation provided, Construction site, Private security agency
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Investigative expertise: Executive protection, Intellectual property, Personal protection, Theft investigations
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Security Guard License, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Security Guard basic (pre-assignment ) training program certificate
Security and safety: Bondable, Child Abuse Registry check, Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work at outdoors and hot areas
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be reliable and judgmental.
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to produce reports, conduct investigations to locate missing persons
- The candidates should be able to enforce regulations to maintain order and resolve conflicts and to monitor establishment activities
- The candidates should be able to investigate unlawful acts of employees or patrons of establishments and recommend security systems
- The candidates should be able to operate security control room equipment, patrol assigned areas
- The candidates should be able to perform security checks of passengers and luggage, pick up and deliver cash and valuables
