Job Description:

Salary: $16.75 to $20.00 hourly (To be negotiated) 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Surrey, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic cash register, Point of sale system
Credentials: Serving It Right Certificate

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and be physically demanding
The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads

Other Requirements:

The candidate should be client focus, organized, initiative, flexible, and reliable
The candidates should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages
The candidates should be able to present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
The candidates should be able to describe menu items including daily specials for customers
The candidates should be able to advise on menu selections
The candidates should be able to clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
The candidates should be able to greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages
The candidates should be able to serve food and beverages, take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff, provide customer service
