Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, and perform physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate manual dexterity, pay attention to detail, and bend, crouch, and kneel
- The candidates should be able to manage a large workload, and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills, be flexible, and be a team player
- The candidate should be dependable
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to transport fish and shellfish to the work area, weigh fish or shellfish, record weight, and pack fish in ice
- The candidates should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas, transfer stock to tanks in trucks, and pack stock in special containers
- The candidates should be able to cull, mark, or tag aquaculture stocks, clean, sort, and pack shellfish, and clean and maintain aquaculture enclosures
- The candidates should be able to assist aquaculture technicians in the operation of fish hatcheries or other aquatic farms, and grade and weigh aquaculture stocks
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
