Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Morning
Work setting: Food service establishment and restaurant
Supervision: 5-10 people, food service counter attendants and food preparers, kitchen and food service helpers
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in noisy environments, with strong odors, and in hot environments
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work effectively under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
- The candidates should be able to adapt to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be comfortable standing for extended periods
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling, and comfortable walking for extended periods
- The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks

- The candidates should be client-focused with efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication
- The candidates should be flexible and a team player

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to establish methods to meet work schedules and supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- The candidates should be able to train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and estimate ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
- The candidates should be able to ensure that food and service meet quality control standards and address customers’ complaints or concerns
- The candidates should be able to maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports
- The candidates should be able to prepare food order summaries for the chef and have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres
- The candidates should be able to supervise and check the assembly of trays and the delivery of food trolleys
