Salary: $16.00 to $16.90 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On Call, Flexible Hours, Morning
Work setting: Food service establishment, fast food outlet or concession, and restaurant
Supervision: 11-15 people, cook (general), food service counter attendants and food preparers, kitchen and food service helpers
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Safe Food Handling certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check and basic security clearance
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in environments that may be hot
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to work effectively under pressure, meeting tight deadlines
- The candidates should be capable of handling a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout their workday, and able to stand for extended periods during their shift
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as required for their job duties
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a strong focus on client satisfaction and needs, demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills, and possess excellent oral communication abilities
- The candidates should be adaptable and flexible in their approach to work and be team players capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to establish methods to meet work schedules, supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, and train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
- The candidates should be able to estimate ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address customers’ complaints or concerns
- The candidates should be able to maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, prepare and submit reports, demonstrate knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres, and supervise and check assembly and delivery of trays and food trolleys
