Salary: $16.00 to $17.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 37.5 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: St. John’s, NL
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, and Driver’s abstract
Work setting: Warehouse, Retail business, and Wholesalers
Supervision: 3-4 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Area of specialization: Green economy sector
Computer and technology knowledge: Inventory control software and Spreadsheet
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone
Credentials: First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to determine the method of shipment and schedule transportation conveyances
  • The candidates should be able to prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents, and assemble containers and crates
  • The candidates should be able to inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, maintain an internal record-keeping system, and record shortages and reject damaged goods
  • The candidates should be able to route goods to appropriate storage areas, pack goods to be shipped, and unpack goods received
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery
