Requirements:

Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS experience with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people
- The candidates should have experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
- The candidates should have experience in a fast-paced, dynamic organization and should be a Certified Safety Professional
- The candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies
- The candidates should have strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability
- The candidates should have 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to serve as the site’s designated first aid provider in the warehouse, coordinating and implementing the Amazon Global Program and able to partner with an Operations Team at the site level to execute company WHS policies and ensure compliance with all applicable local, regional, and federal regulations
- The candidates should be able to lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for associates
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and WHS data analysis
- The candidates should be able to lead and develop a team of WHS professionals, creating and executing leadership development plans for their teams and able to communicate team expectations and provide frequent feedback, ensuring the team is executing to the core competencies of an Amazon WHS professional and possess a thorough understanding of local/regional and federal regulations and company policy
- The candidates should be able to provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with all applicable Amazon WHS Policies and able to measure the site’s performance against published requirements in WHS policies and identify plans to implement and fix all identified deficiencies, driving accountability for the plan
- The candidates should be able to analyze WHS metrics and review incident trends to justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas with the highest WHS risk
- The candidates should be able to perform frequent site WHS audits to identify all non-compliant equipment and/or processes and implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks
- The candidates should be able to audit recordkeeping practices and Gensuite entries to ensure compliance with global WHS standards and regulations and able to audit the workplace organization and Associate behaviors to ensure training, auditing, and scoring methods are accurate and consistent
- The candidates should be able to ensure site leadership and Associates are trained and knowledgeable about their responsibilities under each policy and audit the quality, delivery, and effectiveness of all required WHS training
