Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Diploma in Engineering Technology from an accredited program supplemented by a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology
Experience: Candidates should have Minimum of five (5) years of experience within the last seven (7) in facility management
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- The candidates should have the ability to effectively use time management and prioritization skills to manage workload, meet timelines, and deadlines
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should hold certification as an Engineering Technician/Technologist and have knowledge of budget preparation and analysis
- The candidates should possess knowledge of building codes and have knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to interpret layouts, assembly diagrams, and schematics for equipment installations and exhibit strong supervisory skills
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to adapt and problem-solve and show strong analytical and interpretive thinking to solve technical problems
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to research, hypothesize, and/or provide solutions from a broad section of electrical, mechanical, and architectural fields
- The candidates should have demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide leadership, supervision, and direction to a site(s)
- The candidates should be able to establish NL Health’s vision for infrastructure and provide strategic advice and guidance on business, building systems, as well as industry trends and best practices
- The candidates should be able to ensure that NL Health’s facilities and business continuity solutions are consistently delivered and aligned with today’s building codes and regulations
- The candidates should be able to plan, organize, coordinate, control, and evaluate the development and operation of a comprehensive Infrastructure Department
- The candidates should be able to ensure uninterrupted utility services to the complex, including maintenance, fix and repair duties, new equipment installs, and interior renovations
- The candidates should be able to monitor, manage, and improve a comprehensive computer maintenance management/asset management system
