Salary: $20.00 to $30.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 35 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Calgary, AB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Willing to travel regularly, valid driver’s licence, and public transportation is not available

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Asphalt finishing, excavation, fine grading and finishing, material handling, rough grading, sub-grade excavating, and trenching
Equipment and machinery experience: Bulldozer, large or small, loader, paver, and front end loader
Type of industry experience: Industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) construction, residential construction, and road construction
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: CPR Certificate and driver’s license
Security and safety: Bondable

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding tasks, work in a fast-paced environment, and be attentive to detail
  • The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to operate heavy equipment, clean and lubricate equipment, and refill equipment tanks
  • The candidates should be able to conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, secure special attachments to equipment, and perform minor repairs
  • The candidates should be able to prepare accident reports
