Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 2 years of previous supervisory experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing to be flexible with hours, days, and tasks
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have 5 years of slope preparation experience
- The candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of snowmaking maintenance experience
- The candidates should possess mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- The candidates should have proficient time management and communication ability
- The candidates should demonstrate strong situational awareness and decision-making ability
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist in developing safe work procedures and training programs for snowmaking staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- The candidates should be able to work closely with the Snowmaking Supervisor and actively participate in the hiring process for the snowmaking crew, selecting qualified candidates who meet the job requirements
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with supervisors to develop the skills and knowledge of the snowmaking team, providing coaching and support to enhance performance and efficiency
- The candidates should be able to work and interact effectively with other departments as required, fostering teamwork and cooperation to achieve common goals
- The candidates should be able to work on the mountain with the snowmaking crews, assisting in the operation of snowmaking equipment and ensuring the quality of snow production
- The candidates should be able to assist in maximizing the utilization and efficiency of snowmaking capability, considering factors such as weather conditions, pumping capacity, and equipment performance
- The candidates should be able to assist the Grooming department in run building and preparation, contributing to the overall maintenance and quality of the ski trails
- The candidates should be able to assist with trail maintenance and summer grooming activities, ensuring trails are well-maintained and safe for use during the summer season
- The candidates should be able to assist in the setup and storage of all snowmaking equipment, maintaining organized and efficient storage areas
- The candidates should be able to perform maintenance tasks and provide record-keeping for all snowmaking equipment and infrastructure, ensuring equipment is well-maintained and operational for snowmaking operations
