Salary: $80,000 to $115,000 annually (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 616 Wellington St, Miramichi, NB E1N 3M2, Canada
Shifts: Flexible Hours
Work setting: Private practice and veterinary clinic
Supervision: 3-4 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Earned doctorate degree
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Certification

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate excellent oral communication
  • The candidates should be team players, demonstrating efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds, and flocks through physical examinations or laboratory tests
  • The candidates should be able to treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery
  • The candidates should be able to vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases and advise clients on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and general care of animals
  • The candidates should be able to provide a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, dentistry, and euthanasia and supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers
