Salary: $4,400 bi-weekly for 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Weekend, On Call
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials:Â Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Certification and Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to manage a combination of sitting, standing, walking and work under pressure
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate, dependable, and demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidate should communicate excellently both orally and in writing, be flexible, and take initiative

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds and flocks through physical examinations or laboratory tests
- The candidates should be able to treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds or performing surgery
- The candidates should be able to vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases
- The candidates should be able to advise clients on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene and general care of animals
- The candidates should be able to enforce government regulations in disease control and food production, including animal or animal-based food inspection
- The candidates should be able to perform routine, emergency and post-mortem examinations
- The candidates should be able to provide a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, dentistry and euthanasia
- The candidates should be able to supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
