Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Bachelor’s Degree and Social Work, Other
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Social work specialization: Community Development and Socio-economic Needs or Conditions
Credentials: Membership in a provincial association of social workers
Security and safety: Criminal Record Check, Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance, and Vulnerable Sector Check

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to conduct psychosocial assessments, evaluate the effectiveness of social programs, and interview clients individually, in families, or in groups, to assess their situation and problems to determine the types of services required
- The candidates should be able to prepare detailed plans for clients returning home after a stay in a rehabilitation centre, provide mediation services, and perform administrative tasks
- The candidates should be able to provide counsel and therapy to help clients resolve social and personal problems, plan programs of assistance for clients, and refer clients to agencies that provide financial assistance, legal aid, housing, medical treatment, and other services
- The candidates should be able to serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team of professionals working with a client group, advocate on the client’s behalf in courts or at hearings, and conduct social research
- The candidates should be able to evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and the patient’s outcomes, develop prevention and intervention programs to meet community needs, and monitor and evaluate
