Salary: $17.50 to $19.50 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Grand Forks, BC
Shifts: Evening, Weekend, Shift, Flexible Hours, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials:Â Forklift Operator Certification and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks and handle physically demanding work
- The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail and demonstrate hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, work under pressure, and lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, be flexible, and take initiative
- The candidates should be reliable and a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment and transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually
- The candidates should be able to check and weigh materials and products and sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products
- The candidates should be able to perform other labouring and elemental activities and clean machines and immediate work areas
- The candidates should be able to maintain an inventory of stored material and provide customer service
