Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance and Economics
Experience: Candidates should have 3 to 6 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and controls design or assessment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a professional accounting designation and detailed working knowledge of PCAOB requirements and the COSO framework
- The candidates should be effective relationship builders and a continuous improvement mindset, strong attention to detail, a drive for results, and strong communication skills (written and oral)
- The candidates should have experience in planning and project or task management and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Visio
- The candidates should undergo a criminal history check and provide references for a reference check
- The candidates should have a driver’s license verification and provide the last 3 years of driving history if required for the position
- The candidates should undergo background checks that may include 7 years of employment history and Social Security number verification
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist with the overall management of the SOX 404/302 program for CPKC
- The candidates should be able to help manage the quarterly certification of controls process by business process owners
- The candidates should be able to plan and perform internal controls testing to ensure completion of the annual SOX program in an efficient and effective manner and in compliance with regulatory requirements
- The candidates should be able to work closely with external auditors, internal audit, and business process owners to coordinate efficient and effective execution of testing plans, including scheduling of testing and remediation of control deficiencies
- The candidates should be able to work with control owners to address control deficiencies and ensure that remediation plans are implemented by management on a timely basis
- The candidates should be able to assist in the preparation of reporting to senior management of control deficiencies and status of remediation
- The candidates should be able to take every opportunity to continuously improve CPKC’s internal control framework and assist management in the maintenance of the risk and control library
- The candidates should be able to maintain and improve documentation of internal controls and management’s documentation of processes and controls in the Governance Reporting and Compliance software
- The candidates should be able to monitor CPKC processes and the regulatory environment (PCAOB, SEC, COSO for changes that could impact CPKC’s internal control framework
