Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a college degree (2 years)
Experience: Candidates should have 5 years’ experience in the industry inspecting railcars or demonstrate strength in railcar maintenance and repair

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be available to work all types of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have equivalent post-secondary education and strong risk evaluation skills
  • The candidates should meet Transport Canada and CPKC’s criteria for a certified Rail Car Apprentice or Mechanic and have thorough knowledge of Transport Canada/FRA regulations
  • The candidates should possess strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise instructions and directions
  • The candidates should undergo a criminal history check and provide references for a reference check

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to manage databases, incident reports, and issues management reports to support business
  • The candidates should be able to assist in the customer reject process by working directly with the field and CST, ensuring accurate identification of car bad order reasons
  • The candidates should be able to handle the car setoff process, collaborating with OC Transportation and repair facilities
  • The candidates should be able to assist the Engineering group with projects and facilitate interactions with foreign roads
  • The candidates should be able to manage online high idle bad order cars, including billing and coordinating their movement
  • The candidates should be able to oversee the email inbox, providing necessary information to field operations
