Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Quality improvement
Industrial processes and products experience: Quality assurance and control
Manufacturing sector experience: Food
Cleaning experience: Industrial equipment
Security and safety: Reference required

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to distinguish between colours and pay attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment
• The candidates should be able to have good hand-eye coordination and handle heavy loads and possess manual dexterity
• The candidates should be able to work overtime when required and perform physically demanding tasks and complete repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and meet tight deadlines and work under pressure

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders and bake mixed dough and batters and train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• The candidates should be able to prepare special orders and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff and frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
• The candidates should be able to train staff and ensure that the quality of products meets established standards and inspect kitchen and food service areas
• The candidates should be able to operate machinery and organize and maintain inventory and visually inspect products for quality
• The candidates should be able to record information on products inspected and record production information and complete reports and propose improvements to methods, systems and procedures
• The candidates should be able to apply quality control procedures and maintain quality control and production records and maintain work records and logs
• The candidates should be able to check products for quality control and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
