Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
  • The candidates should possess a keen interest and desire to work with children and families
  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent, supportive, and respectful interpersonal relationships with clients and team members/colleagues
  • The candidates should have proven and consistent, solution-focused, positive communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide clinical professional practice both independently and as a part of a collaborative team, which may include external partners
  • The candidates should be able to be responsible for providing prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management
  • The candidates should be able to participate in the planning, coordination, and delivery of rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients/clients, families, healthcare professionals, and other partners
  • The candidates should be able to use their leadership and interpersonal skills to aid in supervising students and providing clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate
  • The candidates should be able to use their clinical expertise to inform ongoing quality improvement, service integration, and program development
