Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience in role delivering and supporting software and data engineering capabilities
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have strong design and software programming skills, preferably in Python
- The candidates should have strong experience with cloud services within Azure, AWS, or GCP platforms, preferably Azure
- The candidates should have experience building APIs, with experience in GraphQL being a plus
- The candidates should have experience with analytical tools, preferably SQL, dbt, Snowflake/BigQuery, Tableau/PowerBI
- The candidates should have hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD processes
- The candidates should have project management experience and strong communication skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide data engineering support for projects across the various Zones and able to manage internal stakeholders and facilitate the development and training of data engineers within the chapter
- The candidates should be able to act as a technical expert providing expertise in areas of data architecture, data management, data quality, data governance, and data engineering
- The candidates should be able to provide hands-on design and development of platform capabilities and able to develop and operate modern data architecture approaches to meet key business objectives and provide end-to-end data solutions
- The candidates should be able to contribute to building generic frameworks for data ingestion, data processing, data transformation, and data integrations
- The candidates should be able to implement standard methodologies for software design, architecture, and implementation
- The candidates should be able to implement monitoring tools/processes to ensure platform stability and operational SLAs
- The candidates should be able to extend DevOps capabilities for deploying data solutions and able to act as a data owner and functional data SME for the assigned area
