Work setting: Retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre, Supermarket/grocery store, and Retail business
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Vehicle and equipment experience: Dollies and hand trucks, Pallet lifters
Type of industry experience: Food and beverages
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads as part of the job responsibilities and lift weights of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) as needed for the job
- The candidates should be physically capable of meeting the demands of a physically demanding role, comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling as required for the position, and able to lift weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as part of their job requirements
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of their work
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be energetic and able to maintain a high level of enthusiasm throughout their workday, outgoing, and capable of effectively engaging with colleagues and customers
- The candidates should be proactive in seeking out opportunities and addressing challenges before they arise
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to build pallets, load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment, operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products, and ship orders
- The candidates should be able to pick orders and stock, weigh materials and goods, make labels and attach them to goods, provide customer service, wrap goods, pack and unpack goods, and sort, crate, and stack goods
- The candidates should be able to install, lash, and secure goods, store cargo and materials, transport and distribute materials and goods, organize and maintain inventory, operate computerized inventory control systems, handle and store hazardous products
