Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be of 16 years or older

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should assist the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of the Pharmacy Operations
  • The candidates should provide patient care specific to each patient based on feedback received during patient consultation or file review
  • The candidates should have Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA-APA and Additional Prescribing Authorization)

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure an excellent patient experience and locate merchandise on the sales floor
  • The candidates should be able to establish and develop a strong working relationship with Professional Services District Manager and other stakeholders
  • The candidates should be able to accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from Customers, Doctors, or Hospitals
  • The candidates should be able to fill all prescriptions accurately, efficiently, and safely using the established workflow models and counsel all patients on sold pharmaceutical products
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the proper storage of pharmaceutical products, execute processes as per Walmart’s best ways/SOPs and operate all equipment in the pharmacy, including the register and computer system
  • The candidates should be able to protect and maintain patient privacy at all times and follow provincial regulations established by the regulatory body
  • The candidates should be able to ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to, such as medication reviews and injections, to meet specific patient needs
  • The candidates should be able to ensure that the Pharmacy is open and operational during the posted business hours
  • The candidates should be able to, in partnership with their Pharmacy Manager, assist in executing the business action plan to achieve corporate business goals
  • The candidates should be able to work in a team environment using strong communication and interpersonal skills
