Salary: $192,768 annually 168 hours per month
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Hecla Keno Hill mine site, 4 kms Northeast of Keno,City, Yukon Elsa, YT Y0B 1J0
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, Willing to travel, Willing to travel regularly
Work setting: Remote location

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Type of industry experience: Mines and quarries
Security and safety: Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be able to work in outdoors, and dusty area

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, organized, reliable, and judgmental
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, values and ethics, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to hire, train, direct and motivate staff, advise senior management, evaluate efficiency of production sites
  • The candidates should be able to recommend operational changes to ensure that production quotas and procedures are met
  • The candidates should be able to determine adequacy of personnel, equipment and technologies used for operations, establish work schedules
  • The candidates should be able to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
  • The candidates should be able to confer with other managers to set production quotas, to plan extraction sites and to develop policies for the removal of raw materials
  • The candidates should be able to ensure adherence to safety regulations
  • The candidates should be able to prepare production reports
