Lil Bettas Swim School is a swim school specializes in providing swim lessons for children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. We offer a range of classes, including parent and tot classes, preschool classes, and school-age classes, all taught in a safe and nurturing environment. We are committed to teaching children essential swimming skills and water safety techniques that will last a lifetime. We focus on building confidence in the water, teaching proper stroke technique, and developing a love for swimming. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 3 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Casual employment Part time leading to full time
Location: Edmonton, AB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Morning
Transportation information: Willing to travel
Work setting: Swimming pool/centre
Supervision: 1 to 2 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Credentials: Red Cross Swimming Instructor/Life Saving Certificate, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Lifesaving Bronze Medallion, Lifesaving Bronze Cross, National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Certificate, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should be able to work in/on water

Other Requirements:

The candidate should be accurate, client focus, dependable, organized, initiative, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, interpersonal awareness, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques, schedule activities, keep logs, maintain records and prepare reports
The candidates should be able to patrolling/supervising activities
The candidates should be able to ensure health and safety regulations are followed
The candidates should be able to assemble supplies, sports and game equipment
The candidates should be able to monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required
