Location:Â Edmonton, AB
Shifts:Â Day, 07:30 to 16:00
Work setting: Commercial, Residential, Urban area, Various locations, Work in employer’s/client’s home, Willing to relocate
Supervision:Â 1 to 2 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years’
Own tools/equipment: Hard hat, Mask, Safety glasses/goggles, Steel-toed safety boots, Tools
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be willing to for overtime
- The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidates should be able to work in dusty area, and at heights
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be client focus, dependable, flexible, reliable
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
- The candidates should be able to cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
- The candidates should be able to fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
- The candidates should be able to smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
- The candidates should be able to tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
- The candidates should be able to install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
- The candidates should be able to work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
