Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Municipal taxi driver permit and Provincial or Territorial Commercial Vehicle licence (Class 4 or E)Â
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should possess hand-eye coordination skills, demonstrating precision and accuracy in tasks requiring coordination between hands and eyes
- The candidates should be comfortable with sitting as part of their regular duties
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clean and make minor repairs to the vehicle
- The candidates should be able to pick up passengers and drive them to destinations
- The candidates should be able to assist passengers with luggage and in boarding vehicles
- The candidates should be able to collect fare
- The candidates should be able to assist clients/guests with special needs
- The candidates should be able to record transactions
- The candidates should be able to provide basic tourist information
- The candidates should be able to attend to complaints or difficult passengers
- The candidates should be able to drive employers (including family members) to and from destinations
