Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to accompany students during school and extracurricular activities, and assist in the school library or office
- The candidates should be able to help students individually or in small groups with assignments and reinforce learning and retention concepts under the supervision of a classroom teacher, and perform other duties assigned by the school principal
- The candidates should be able to supervise students during school and extracurricular activities, and monitor students during recess and lunch hour
- The candidates should be able to assist students with integration into the classroom and school setting, and assist with classroom inventory
- The candidates should be able to monitor and report student progress to the classroom teacher, and assist the teacher in the operation of projectors, tape recorders, and other audio-visual or electronic equipment
- The candidates should be able to assist students with special needs using techniques such as sign language, braille, and remedial programs
