Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year

Candidate Status:

Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to help students individually or in small groups with assignments and reinforce learning concepts under the supervision of the classroom teacher, as well as monitor students during recess and lunch hour
The candidates should be able to assist students with integration into the classroom and school setting, assist with classroom inventory, and monitor and report student progress to the classroom teacher
The candidates should be able to assist the teacher in the operation of audio-visual or electronic equipment and assist students with special needs using techniques such as sign language, braille, and remedial programs
