Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of completed a Survey Technician Diploma program
Experience: Candidates should have 3 or 5 years of experience in open pit or underground mining projects
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing work environment
- The candidates should possess a valid G driver’s license for operational and demonstrate a high level of energy, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills to thrive in a dynamic environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and a Mine Technologist Program from a recognized post-secondary institution
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, with a strong commitment to working in a safe and socially responsible manner
- The candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office programs and familiar with Deswik or AutoCAD software
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to participate in daily toolbox/safety meetings to promote a culture of safety
- The candidates should be able to provide technical expertise in the areas of safety, surveying methods, and procedures
- The candidates should be able to maintain and calibrate survey equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance
- The candidates should be able to participate in the development and implementation of best practices for the engineering department, focusing on continuous improvement
- The candidates should be able to utilize advanced surveying equipment such as Leica Total Stations, Leica controllers, Leica RTK GNSS, and Leica Disto
- The candidates should be able to obtain a UAV Pilot License and participate in both surface stockpile and underground Drone CMS Programs
- The candidates should be able to engage in 3D modeling using Promine Deswik and Lidar Scanner techniques
- The candidates should be able to participate in month-end reporting to ensure accurate and timely submissions
