Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have an Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 year to less than 2 years
Patternmaking experience: Metal patternmaking
Equipment and machinery experience: Gauges or instruments, Jigs and fixtures, Metal cutting, forming or bending dies
Computer and technology knowledge: SolidWorks software
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, Ear plugs
Credentials: Tool and Die Maker Trade Certification
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and have a strong attention to detail
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, exhibit flexibility, and be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to compute dimensions and tolerances and set up machine tools, as well as verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
- The candidates should be able to program CNC machine tools, inspect and test final products, and set up, operate, and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
