Job Description:

Salary: $19.00 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Montréal-Nord, QC
Shifts: Day, 07:30 to 16:15

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Measuring tools: Micrometers, Calipers, Gauges, and Verniers
Equipment and machinery experience: Form Cutting Machines and Tool Grinders
Credentials: Machinist Trade Certification

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts, measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly, and read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
  • The candidates should be able to set up and adjust production machineries/tools, fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, and maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
  • The candidates should be able to maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports, and verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
