Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be at least 18 years of age and ability to work autonomously, adapt to different situations, and manage stress
- The candidates should demonstrate good teamwork and maintain positive interactions with others and good hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be proficient in the operation of forklifts, up to 28,000 pounds (13,000 kg) capacity
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have General Education Diploma (GED), vocational and technical training or knowledge of Rail Operating Rules
- The candidates should possess a valid driver’s license and good verbal, reading comprehension, and writing skills
- The candidates should be dedicated to meeting established standards of quality, safety, productivity, and client satisfaction
- The candidates should be proficient with shovels, rods, pry bars, sledgehammers, jackhammers, wrenches, hand and power drills, hand tools, and technical instruments (meters)
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform manual daily labor associated with resizing or restacking lumber lifts for export
- The candidates should be able to block, brace, and secure railcars for unloading or loading
- The candidates should be able to complete paperwork associated with the loading and unloading of railcars and trailers and work physically outdoors in varying weather conditions for the entirety of their shifts
- The candidates should be able to work from heights, toss cables on top of Centerbeams, and tighten cables for securement purposes
- The candidates should be able to available to work shifts, weekends, holidays, nights, and occasional overtime
- The candidates should be able to handle regular exposure to dust, pollen, noise, and vibrations
- The candidates should be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 70 pounds occasionally
- The candidates should be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and perform overhead work and and balance, grip handholds while working at heights of 4–8 feet (1–2 meters) off the ground
