Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, On Call, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation/travel information: Valid driver’s licence, and Willing to travel overnight
Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook, Maintenance and repair reports, and Trip reports

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: AZ class license
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check, and Drug test

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be capable of handling a large workload
The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and be able to handle weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns and demonstrate professionalism in customer service
The candidates should be able to load and unload goods, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, and oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
The candidates should be able to pay and receive payments for goods, perform brake adjustments, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle
The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo, and transport and handle dangerous goods
