Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
Credentials: AZ class license

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations, and load and unload goods
  • The candidates should be able to obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, and oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • The candidates should be able to pay and receive payments for goods, and perform emergency roadside repairs
  • The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle, and perform preventive maintenance
  • The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
  • The candidates should be able to tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo, and transport and handle dangerous goods
