Job Description:

Salary: $28.90 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Calgary, AB

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns and coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques and demonstrate professionalism in customer service
The candidates should be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy and drive lighter, special-purpose trucks and operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
The candidates should be able to load and unload goods and obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
The candidates should be able to oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment and perform brake adjustments and preventive maintenance
The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle and receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
