Salary: $55,000 to $60,000 annually (To be negotiated) for 40 to 60 hours per week

Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel overnight
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Bill of lading, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trans-border documentation, Trip reports
Type of trucking and equipment: Refrigerated and Tractor-trailer
Communication systems experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, Trip recorder (on-board computer)
Credentials: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Security and safety: Valid passport, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail and sit for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent oral communication, excellent written communication and flexible
- The candidates should be organized, reliable and a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate professionalism in customer service and drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- The candidates should be able to load and unload goods and operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- The candidates should be able to oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- The candidates should be able to oversee all aspects of the vehicle and perform preventive maintenance
- The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- The candidates should be able to tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo
