Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook
Type of trucking and equipment:Â Tractor-trailer
Own tools/equipment:Â Steel-toed safety boots and Safety vest
Credentials:Â AZ class license
Security and safety:Â Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), and Drug test
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks while sitting for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of their work
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be flexible and should have good judgement
- The candidate should be organized and should be reliable
- The candidate should be hardworking
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions, address customers’ complaints or concerns, and load and unload goods
- The candidates should be able to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage, and perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections
- The candidates should be able to perform preventive maintenance, receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- The candidates should be able to tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo, and transport and handle dangerous goods
