Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Documentation knowledge: Accident or Incident Reports, Bill of Lading, Driver Logbook, Inspection Report (Pre-Trip, En-Route, Post-Trip), Trip Reports
Credentials: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should have attention to detail and be able to handle heavy loads
The candidates should be physically demanding and able to perform repetitive tasks
The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

The candidates should be flexible and organized

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns
The candidates should be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy while overseeing the condition of the vehicle
The candidates should be able to inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
The candidates should be able to perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
The candidates should be able to perform preventive maintenance and tarp, ensuring the safety and security of cargo
