Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Documentation knowledge:Â Accident or Incident Reports, Bill of Lading, Driver Logbook, Inspection Report (Pre-Trip, En-Route, Post-Trip), Trip Reports
Credentials:Â Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have attention to detail and be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be physically demanding and able to perform repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be flexible and organized
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns
- The candidates should be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy while overseeing the condition of the vehicle
- The candidates should be able to inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- The candidates should be able to perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
- The candidates should be able to perform preventive maintenance and tarp, ensuring the safety and security of cargo
