Salary: $28.50 hourly for 40 to 60 hours per week

Location: Brampton, ON
Shifts: Evening, Night, Shift, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, and Willing to travel overnight
Work setting: Willing to relocate
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Credentials: AZ class license
Security and safety:Â Driver’s validity licence check, and Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads, up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and be prepared for physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required and be comfortable with sitting for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be flexible in their approach, organized, reliable, and team players

- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, drive lighter special purpose trucks, and load and unload goods
- The candidates should be able to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, oversee the condition of the vehicle, and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, perform preventive maintenance, receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption, and tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo
