Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Air Brakes Endorsement, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A), and Driver’s License (Class 3 or D)

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate mountain driving expertise, exhibit professionalism in customer service, and drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • The candidates should be able to load and unload goods, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, and oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • The candidates should be able to pay and receive payments for goods, perform brake adjustments, and perform emergency roadside repairs
  • The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle, perform preventive maintenance, and receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • The candidates should be able to record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo, and transport and handle dangerous goods
