Salary: $24.50 hourly for 50 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Moncton, NB

Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), and Maintenance and repair reports
Credentials: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
Security and safety: Driver’s validity licence check and Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
  • The candidates should be able to work overtime when required
  • The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations, drive lighter special-purpose trucks, and obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
  • The candidates should be able to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, oversee the condition of the vehicle, and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and transport and handle dangerous goods

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
