Salary: $1,700 to $5,000 bi-weekly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 70 hours per week Minimum wage is guaranteed
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Sault Ste. Marie, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night
Transportation information: Long-haul, Provincial/territorial, Drive manual transmission vehicle, Valid driver’s licence, Willing to travel for extended periods and Willing to travel overnight

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Own tools/equipment: Flatbed, Tractor-trailer, Hard hat, Steel-toed safety boots and Tools
Credentials: AZ class licensem, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be attentive to detail, prepared for physically demanding tasks, and capable of lifting up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to exhibit professionalism in customer service
  • The candidates should be able to oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of the vehicle, including handling tarping to ensure the safety and security of cargo
