Salary: $25.00 hourly for 60 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook
Credentials: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • The candidates should be able to load and unload goods
  • The candidates should be able to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • The candidates should be able to oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • The candidates should be able to record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
