Job Description:

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook
Credentials: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
The candidates should be able to load and unload goods
The candidates should be able to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
The candidates should be able to oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch
The candidates should be able to record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
