Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Provincial Electrician Journeyman Trade Certificate License but consideration will be given to 4th and 5th year
Experience: Candidates should have experience in trouble shooting electrical equipment and installations
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should possess self motivated ability to work alone and in a team environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be knowledgeable in the interpretation of electrical schematics and prints
- The candidates should have previous experience in the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment in mining operations
- The candidates should have a strong safety focus
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to repair and maintain mine equipment in compliance with workplace safety rules, ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel
- The candidate should be able to read, understand, and interpret prints accurately to effectively troubleshoot and repair equipment
- The candidate should be able to maintain electrical systems underground, including wiring, connections, and other components, to ensure reliable operation
- The candidate should be able to install, set up, and maintain underground substations and pump stations, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely
- The candidate should be able to inspect equipment for proper performance, identifying faults and malfunctions promptly to prevent downtime and ensure productivity
- The candidate should be able to adjust equipment and repair or replace defective part components efficiently, restoring equipment to optimal working condition
- The candidate should be able to perform other duties assigned by the Electrical Supervisor as required, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to contribute to the team’s success
