Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have hold a Provincial Electrician Journeyman Trade Certificate License consideration will be given to 4th and 5th year apprentices
Experience: Candidates should have previous experience in the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment in mining operations
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be self-motivated and capable of working alone and in a team environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have previous experience in troubleshooting electrical equipment and installations
- The candidates should be knowledgeable in the interpretation of electrical schematics and prints and demonstrate a strong safety focus
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to repair and maintain mine equipment in compliance with workplace safety rules and read, understand, and interpret prints
- The candidates should be able to install, set up, and maintain underground substations and pump stations and maintain electrical systems underground
- The candidates should be able to inspect equipment for proper performance and determine faults and malfunctions
- The candidates should be able to adjust equipment and repair or replace defective part components
- The candidates should be able to perform other duties assigned by the Electrical Supervisor
