Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of a Journeyperson trade certification
Experience: Candidates should have over 5 to 6 years of work experience in the Mechanical Department mining equipment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a supervisor and possess good communication skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to ensure the accurate and timely processing of all activities related to maintenance (mechanical) and to answer queries and handle requests related to maintenance (mechanical), demonstrating problem-solving and judgment skills
- The candidates should be able to comply with established methodologies and quality standards related to maintenance (mechanical) while recommending new or alternate approaches
- The candidates should be able to prepare reports and complete documentation related to maintenance (mechanical) activities and to maximize equipment availability through effective maintenance strategies and monitor, analyze, and implement changes to ensure maintenance is preventative, predictive, and proactive
- The candidates should be able to monitor and report on the achievement of targets, revising strategies as needed and to coordinate and supervise daily activities of on-site contractors
- The candidates should be able to utilize Maintenance & Supply Chain Best Practices alongside the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for processing work orders, purchase requisitions, weekly schedules, PMs, and updating the equipment database
- The candidates should be able to assist Senior Supervisor/Superintendent in the hiring of maintenance employees and to provide employees with clear work objectives and expectations regarding performance levels required
- The candidates should be able to conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports and to complete all time entry, vacation requests, and scheduling efficiently
- The candidates should be able to provide leadership to the team and promote a high-performance culture and to promote health & safety at work and conduct accident and incident investigations and to carry out workplace inspections using work cards
- The candidates should be able to analyze accidents and broken equipment to find solutions and avoid recurrence of events, to prepare and animate monthly team meetings, reinforcing HSS standards
- The candidates should be able to assist in weekly planning meetings effectively and review all work orders, ensuring all required information is accurate before returning them to the planning department and prepare production and other reports as necessary and perform other duties
