Requirements:

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should hold a certification in Vascular Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC, or equivalent)
  • The candidate should hold, or be eligible for, a license to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • The candidate should have advanced fellowship post-residency training in a subspecialty area of vascular surgery, which is desirable
  • The candidate should have, or be working towards, a Master’s in a relevant field and be eligible for an appointment in the Department of Surgery, University of Toronto, at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate excellence in clinical care, with experience in both open and endovascular techniques as a vascular surgeon
  • The candidates should be able to show a record of academic achievement and a commitment to teaching and mentorship
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate professionalism and collaboration, key features of the Department of Surgery
  • The candidates should be able to contribute to the academic mandate of the Hospital and University through meaningful activities in areas such as basic, translational, health services or clinical research, clinical epidemiology, global surgery, surgical innovation, health policy, quality improvement, patient safety activities, or education leadership
  • The candidates should be able to provide evidence of excellence in teaching and research
